Overview of the Program
Intermediate Band students will now continue their musical adventure with performance selections to prepare as well as their usual musical studies continued from 6th grade. Like the previous year of band, each student will have their own Skill checklists to monitor, self-assess, and critically think about progress in a field of study. The 7th grade band students will be using the Measures of Success Book 2 for ensemble study as well as multiple performance pieces for concerts. We will be diving into the more complex forms of music and start to develop major fluency in instrument performance aimed for the higher levels of Advanced Band where composition is taught.

Intermediate Band Trimester Skill Checklists
As each person advances at an individual rate, these progress charts are for students and parents to get a better idea on where they are in their learning. These progress charts will show the learning goals per week for each trimester. If you - as a parent or learner - want to know where you should be in your learning by when, please check out these progress charts. Please note, however, that these progress charts are general goals. Some students may gain proficiency faster than others whereas others may struggle. If you feel that you, or your student, is struggling, please feel free to contact me either through email or through the contact form at the home page.
