Welcome all Advance Band Students!
Welcome back to the Band Family students! I am so excited for this upcoming year and all the music fun we will have. On this page you will be able to find all relevant postings to your class. On other pages you will be able to find everything that you may need to make your continuing journey of the music world a positive experience.
Overview of the Program
- Advanced Band students will be continuing to build from their experiences. The concert materials will be more challenging but much more exciting and rewarding for the students. This course is to set them up for High School level difficulty music and materials. We will be using both the Measures of Success Book 2 (the orange book), and the Standard of Excellence Book 3 (Green Book). We will also be utilizing multiple other resources to ensure that students are ready for the challenges ahead of them when moving onto High School and beyond. We will also be spending time of real application of skills learned thus far including composition, music careers, and more.

Advanced Band Trimester Skill Checklists
As each person advances at an individual rate, these progress charts are for students and parents to get a better idea on where they are in their learning. These progress charts will show the learning goals per week for each trimester. If you - as a parent or learner - want to know where you should be in your learning by when, please check out these progress charts. Please note, however, that these progress charts are general goals. Some students may gain proficiency faster than others whereas others may struggle. If you feel that you, or your student, is struggling, please feel free to contact me either through email or through the contact form at the home page.
